By investigating the strengths and weaknesses of past and current AEH systems (e.g. WHURLE, Interbook, AHA!, TANGOW), we can compile a set of requirements (desired features) for implementation in the new hypermedia system.

VASE (Visual Adaptive Strategy Editor)

VASE is an authoring tool for adaptive educational hypermedia system. This tool will provide improvements in the reusability of adaptation strategies (application of adaptive rules) in the authoring process.

The main aim of this tool is to support authors in creation of adaptive courseware for students with range of different needs and background.

The tool is under-development and will be used for student evaluation shortly.
